I'm leaving for Coachella tomorrow morning...the calm before the storm. I can't believe I have to sit through a whole day of work today. I'll be day dreaming of palm trees all day long. Kanye!!!!
This is going to be the best weekend ever! EVER! Oh, and I also get to go to some special party tomorrow night at some secret location where the Eagles of Death Metal will be DJing and where there will be free booze all night long and "super surprise special guest." Maybe when i come back I'll write a review... See ya.

In other news, my ex gf has a new bf and she did the exact same thing with him on her birthday that she did with me last year. So skanktastic. I feel like I'm the old actor on the same show. Kind of like when they got a new Becky on Roseanne or on The Fresh Prince when out of nowhere they got a new mom. Same show, different face.

Little does she know that Coachella is two days away and I will be making out with Lady Sovereign and Madonna all weekend long in 200 pounds of pure pudding.

I turned 27 yesterday and I'm not happy about it. Not at all. I am, however, happy that I get to go to California on Friday for Coachella! What? What! Shit's gonna be off the chain. I can't wait to dance and sweat and do all the other fun stuff that goes along with a long weekend in the California desert. I should also mention that I'm running the risk of losing my job by making this trip, but it's all in the name of rock 'n' roll.

The thing that I don't understand is why they are so far down the lineup. Are they trying to sneak them in or is Lollapalooza not respecting their greatness? They're the last band listed before the local bands and the kid bands. WTFrick.

Hot damn, those Strokes are good. I want to take this time to apologize to the guy next to me because I'm pretty sure I ruined his night. I was "that" guy last night. Lots of alcohol mixed with good, old rock and roll gets me going. Sorry dood. At the same time you shouldn't be up in the front if you're just gonna stand there like you're not having fun. That's what the back is for. Lighten up hipster boy.

I also want to take this time to tell the lovely people at Picante not to let me in after midnight. Picante hangovers are bad.

Everyone should just move to Chicago. We can now make it 4 festivals in 4 months for Chicago. From Sept 8th to the 10th, Touch and Go will be celebrating their 25 anniversary in sweet home Chicago. You can count on a bunch of great bands playing including TV on the Radio, Urge Overkill, Scratch Acid, etc.

Today is the day that losers like me have been waiting for... the release of Morrissey's new album, "Ringleader of The Tormentors." If it doesn't win album of the year, it will at least win best album title of the year.
